In the case of false accusation, the only situation you seem to care about, yes, the
falsely accused is the victim. They can be protected in ways other than those that
protect actual criminals under the US Constitution.

What does "in any case" mean to you? Why do you keep ignoring (for years) and
deleting (as in this thread) my opposition to false accusation, and desire for those
who make false accusations to be punished? Admittedly, the idea that those who make
false accusations be punished akin to the penalty for the crime falsely reported, eg,
death for a false claim of capital rape, is new to this thread.
