OK. Well, of the rapes that happened during the occupation I would say that
it is not a war crime, which (I think) was your original question.

For the rapes that happened during the war, I guess you would have to look
at each case.

But whether given actions were "war crimes" is not a very good way to
categorize the suffering of the Okinawans, IMO.
