That's untrue. It wasn't Shinji at all. If you're going to say it was
ANYONE, it'd be Rei, as the Dummy Plug system installed in Unit-01 was based
off her psyche. Shinji had no contorl.

...unless you mean it just seemed like he was doing it from Shinji's
perspective...
