Yeah, I just finished watching the whole series about a week back
(and the movies, bought the box set).. After pretty much forcing
myself to sit through those two episodes, that part was almost
kind of a relief.. Even if I didn't really get it at first, or
both of those episodes.

A couple other favorite scenes as well, the scene with Shinji
chasing after Kaoru in Ep 24, the music and everything seemed to
flow so perfectly.. The only thing I would have changed is the
part where you're staring at the same frame for like a minute.. I
get the point, but its a bit excessive heh.. And when Eva 01
w/the dummy plug in it attacks Ev 03 with Toji in it, I actually
remember feeling 'horrified' by that scene, and the sheer
coldness of it. I usually wouldn't get affected that way just by
watching something. But then you find out he's still alive.
Asuka's battle in EoE also springs to mind.. Evangelion is a
series full of great moments though, the scene when Toji meets
Asuka for the first time was great.
