Thanks for this advice. It might be an easy one, but apparently not for me. 
For one, I don't see a Toshiba HW setup in the Control Panel. However, I 
certainly understanding what you are saying about something pinging the 
adapters now and them, so the computer wakes itself up from both the Sleep 
and Hibernate modes. Yet, in spite of hunting all over the place, I have yet 
to fine the area that actually needs some type of tweaking.

Any further suggestions?

> That one's easy. You've probably got "Wake on LAN" enabled.
