This always makes me wish they would allow television coverage of specific
candidates during elections, instead of seeing hours of stock footage of people
from the neck down weaering white gloves and grasping microphones. I'd watch a
Yukari interview. I'd be interested to see what sort of corner she'd paint
herself into.

Bah. I'm genuinely surprised the shohizei is still only 5%. When I first came
here it was 3%. In Maryland it was 8%, and *that* was considered low.

I am not quite clear on how the DPJ plans to make high school free and the
expressways free (wasn't the expressway system privatized recently?) and serve
up all this baby-making money without raising the most obvious and immediate
source of tax revenue there is. But then again I suppose the Mysterious Religion
Party had wonderful answers for all this too.
