Very unlikely. There is an off-chance of going to the dollar instead of
the Euro. The problem is that our currency has always been pegged to the
dollar. If we convert to the Euro next year, there is a very good chance
that we will be converting at a near historic low of the Euro vs. the
dollar, which will damage all of us that have our wealth denominated in
guilders. If we do do that, I will certainly switch my holdings to
dollars to protect them from a disadvantageous exchange, as will most
business owners and ex-pats. The island is smart enough to see that as
being a bad thing. The question is whether the Dutch will see fit to do
something to prevent it.
