It's more like an in-joke for people that hang around here and on 
sci.lang.japan. You missed the the first one (a joke flying over 
someone's head used to be a "whoosh" until Sean Holland pointed out that 
in Japanese, the sound of something flying past is "hyuu") and then 
missed the spoonerism of "harunodo" for "naruhodo", seen more around slj 
than here (of course, slj gets 10 times the traffic of this group).

I have found that when I think I'm missing an in-joke, my best strategy 
involves being quiet.
