I have a Japanese girlfriend, and upon asking her she didn't even know what abortion was! When I explained it to her in my somewhat limited Japanese, she said Japanese people tend to not have abortions...then again she has 2 brothers and 2 sisters so maybe that's just them! Haha. I've been here for 4 years, and not once in the Japanese papers have I seen anything related to abortion or the pill. Hope that helps!
