That isn't so bad though is it? For 2 people, especially if you cook
and work mostly at home? My place (2 storey townhouse, way too big for
me) runs at about 12,000 a month. Its the telecoms and fuel bills that
bite the budget. The bar/cafe (smaller space than the house) is about
32,000 a month, but there are a lot of energy hungry devices (beer
servers, food storage etc) that can't be turned off.

about 500-900 yen per meal depending on your appetite. Not including
booze.

I thought it was still 250,000/month.
