Nice how you trim things to fit your needs.
I was asking a straight question, without sarcasm.
You claim that marriage is a civil right and that it must be
registered in order for it to be recognized by the state. I asked if
this is the case for common-law marriages as well.
So if there is any self-contradiciton going on here, it's by a Mike
with a different last name than mine.
