I didn't realize the new Gamecubes did away with the component connector on
the back. The last game I got for the Cube supported it(the new Resident Evil
game) and I would think they would want to continue to have it for people who
want it(I would be pissed if I bought one right now and then waited for my
$30 component cable to come from Nintendo and then find out it that it wont
work with my version of the Cube). Nintendo is probably basing their decisions
on how well the component cable sold for the Cube but this is screwed up
because it was never available from retailers and alot of people just didn't
know about the Cube supporting progressive scan.
