I don't know what "the likes of Sigi or me" refers to, but I am
open-minded and would like to make friends with all sorts of people.

As far as what I mean by "friends", I guess I mean the whole
spectrum-- a friend to go to the dojo with, a friend to be roommates
with, a friend that I have dinner with on occasion, wild friends who
party a lot.  I am pretty open-minded and easy to get along with, and
I don't really care about race, gender, national origin, sexual
orientation, etc.

As for lady friends, I guess I would like to meet local ladies, but I
am pretty open to meeting Americans or other non-Japanese women.

Thanks a lot for all the support I have received in this newsgroup--
people have been really nice and forthcoming with information and
advice for moving to Japan.
