Cash sometimes drives his truck nearby (he toots his horn to let me
know), occasionally you can see some coffee brewing translating guy
named Sigi Rindler at his shop, if you drop by the MacExpo or Akihabara,
you might catch a glimpse of Louise, and heaven forbid if you go
anywhere near Osaka or Nagoya or (gasp) the Ryukyus...

Larry, there is a group of hapas here in Tokyo.  I'll see if I can get
you some contact info.  The guy I know works in Akasaka, by the way.

When you come to Tokyo, you'll realize that there are more gaijin here
than you can shake a stick at.  If you let it happen, you can easily
live without speaking any Japanese.  

Oh, and I'm usually in one of my favorite Irish pubs a few times a
month.  Send me an e-mail when you arrive.  If you are interested to see
what I look like or who I am, you can do a google search on my name and
easily find the info.

You also might try posting something in Tokyo Classified.  But be more
specific.  If you're looking for alien life forms or native ladies, say
so.  Do you need a partner to go to the dojo with, or someone to explore
Tokyo or outlaying areas on the weekends?  What do you mean by "friend"?

Friendship doesn't come easily in this town.  I have friends I haven't
seen for months, just because we are all very very busy.  It takes hard
work to stay in touch.
