You'll be about two weeks too late to get together; I leave on 5/31,
unless I win the lottery between now and then. I, too, will be in
Hossanah a time or two; there's evidently a new gaigin bar somewhere
in Himeji that I might check out, but I kinda like Hossanah's
atmosphere.

Did you go to Mt. Masui when you were in Himeji (at some time or
other)? There's a temple up there and I think I'll hike up and then
walk from there to Hiromine, and maybe beyond (the trail evidently
goes to some golf course on the far side). It's getting tough for me
to find out of the way places to go in Himeji. When you've visited the
water museum north of town you know you've done a bit too much.
