I doubt it has put anyone out of work, but I am pretty sure it has 
seriously increased the amount of time between when something happens 
and when the victim finally gives up all hope of getting free help from 
someone on the Internet and resigns themself to searching out and paying 
a professional who can actually fix the problem for them.

But, my assessment of the problem above is that he hasn't stopped 
screwing her yet. He just isn't removing his pants any more.  If he 
doesn't claim the child as his own, he has no legal responsibility for 
it, but she may have recourse through a court.  I had heard from a 
Japanese lawyer that since April of this year, an accused father can't 
refuse a court order to take a DNA test to prove or disprove paternity, 
but no judge has had the cojones to order anybody to take one.
