Boy the things you learn on this list.

I'd always thought that a proper Canadian accent was for those who 
couldn't afford the university at Edinburgh and that people who could 
only afford a cut-rate British accent went to public school in Melbourne 
(St. James, innit?).

Apropos nothing else, I have French friends who say Quebecois is for 
those who cannot afford Parisienne.
