Gosh. I thought having three different citations made it three times
more valid.

Of course, the contents of that article will mean nothing to people
who say "But he has the force of the government on his side! The
United States Navy awarded those medals and wrote those citations!
They MUST be true then!"...interestingly enough, often from people who
have seldom ever indicated any degree of faith in the government in
general or the military in particular.
