Whatever regular "industrial" farmed pigs eat, I don't know. All I know is
that they ate bread here (no pigs anymore because the smell was getting
pretty bad so us home owners held a meeting and it was unanimously voted in
favor of telling the pig farmers to take a hike). 

If that makes a difference to the way the pork tastes, then that probably
explains why Japanese pork tastes like it does.
