The way the world has developed since 1945, it is pretty much impossible to
have a diversion
of interests between the US and western europe or the US and Japan to the
extent that military
capability becomes an issue. And please don't confuse something as minor as
the US-France dispute
in the security council prior to the Iraq war as a split in interests to
that degree. It wasn't and isn't.

If you want to charge that the US shielded and covered up alot of actions
conducted by the Imperial Japanese
forcers during WWII, then the answer is yes, the US is indeed guilty of
having done just that. Not only that,
after re-writing Japan's post war constitution so that they would not have a
standing army, by 1950 we were
already regretting that and pushed for the formation of a branch of the
national police department which has
evolved into what is called the Japanese Self Defense Forces today.

I don't often call posters "morons" unless they do something blatantly
stupid...such as asking for evidence
of racism while using a racist term themselves....DUHHHHHHH....
