Sorry, but you're a lifetime member of the club regardless of where you
happen to be, and you can't quit. Most Japanese, excluding perhaps those who
have lived abroad for a long period of time, use the word gaijin to refer to
anyone who isn't Japanese (and most likely non-Asian, but don't ask me to
define the word Asian), and they do it even when they are actually the
foreigner and they're referring to the locals.
