You're right, that the character portraits weren't shown during dialogue, 
but they were present in the menus, and the graphics there are what are 
shown in the new pic. As for more color... I can only assume you're 
comparing this good quality pic with a bad quality TV picture. I've replayed 
the game just last year, with an S-video connection, and the colors were 
much better than the first time I played over an RF cable. The character 
sprites look identical to this pic.
