There was an article in the Japan Times (DPJ's Korean for Asia unity, ethnic pride) that had the factoid that 713,755 permanent residents in Japan, the majority of which are "Koreans." I was surprised how small that number is, considering the large number of Chinese, Koreans, and Indians I have met here.
