If military victory and defeat was a mere calculation of Gross
Domestic Product, then, the Athenian Empire would have handily beaten
Sparta and it's Peloponnesian allies, the U.S. would still be a
British colony, the Israelis would have been pushed into the sea in
1948, and Saigon today would be the capitol of a united Vietnam.
