This according to the August Wired magazine's Jargon Watch (p. 34): "Scanlation: The practice of scanning Japanese manga comic books and posting them on hte Web with English translations. Fans say it's not piracy because the books aren't printed in English." Is 'manga comic book' redundant? John W.
