Liz sent me a picture and her drive arrangement is totally different to 
mine.

M100 has adapter on drive that converts the two rows of pins to two rows 
of flat males that would look similar to parallel printer cable, but I 
do not know about D shape. It mates to a dual row female connector in 
computer. Also carrier is steel with large holes drilled in the bottom 
to save weight and uses side rails.

Portege 4000 and Tecra 9100 adapter goes around drive pins and is just 
like a frame to stop then spreading apart. It mates to a dual row male 
connector in computer. Carrier does not use side rails and is aluminium 
and has solid bottom.
