A lady I know in the wine export trade has good contacts with a hotel in
the Pigale / Montmartre area where you can get a single room for EUR 75
a night, possibly less with negotiation and also possibly a double bed
for the same price. No internet in the hotel but it is close to places
with wireless service. Good security and the front desk is manned 24/7.
If something like that is of interest, I'll give you a way to reach me
privately for an intro.

Don't know how much it has changed, but ten years ago there were lots of
Chinese and Cambodian restaurants in that area that were cheap and good.
