Hi all, never been in here before. But I have questions.
This laptop; P25-s2562 comes stock with 512meg of ram. With horrible latencies;2.5-3-3-7
The BIOS on the thing is the sketchiest thing I've seen in a long time with nowhere to
tweak much of anything

I'd like to bump the ram to 1 gig but I'd sure like to tweak the timings on it.
Anyone know if the latencies are BIOS controlled? If I can get hold of some ram with
lower latencies programmed in the SPD, will the BIOS run with them or is it nailed down in the
BIOS where I can't get to it without hacking and flashing a new BIOS?
As a matter of fact does anyone know where I can score some lower timing SODIMMS?

Admittedly I'm new to laptops. For all I know that might be great timings for SODIMMS, dunno.
Main system is overclocked, 15K SCSI drives, ultra low latency 2-2-2-5 ram timings, hacked BIOS,
etc, etc. Just seems to me the whole system would run better with lower latency ram.
I'd swap the video card for something that doesn't 'share' the damn ram but I suspect
the video is integrated on the MB.

thanks,
Kurt
