I'm skeptical. When I walked into a shop in Wagga Wagga or Galway as a 
teenager, within 60 seconds it was "where the fuck are you from?" or 
such. Now it even happens in Sydney or Dublin. On my last visit to 
Sydney, I walked into a bank to change some yen into south pacific 
pesos, and the friendly teller slowed to speak halfpace "And how long 
will you be in Austraya?" On my last visit to sepponia it usually only 
took seconds, especially in places where I asked where the nearest tube 
station was, or if there was anything on the bloody menu that didn't 
come with grits.
