I've never been scuba diving myself, but I've seen purty pictures of
it. My understanding is that the tanks strap on your back. Would it be
impossible to ride a motorcycle like that? (I can see how the swim
fins would make shifting gears a bit difficult, though).

If you want to see "not on the mainstream", try looking into the
process of visiting Pitcairn Island sometime. Fletcher Christian chose
his island well.
