Gee, what do you suppose my Certificate of Baptism stands for, then?

Your misbelief is a common one. The Catholic Church is quite clear on
the need to be born again. You may wish to consult ¶¶1212-1216 of the
Catechism of the Catholic Church.

All Christians are born again. They differ on how one goes about doing
it. Evangelical Protestants tend to hold that one is born again at the
first instant of faith in Christ, usually as the result of some powerful
experience. The Catholic Church holds that one is born again through
baptism.
