Well, often history works in ways contrary to one's desires. The fact
is that without America France would have lost in both world wars.
This is not to say America did most of the fighting in World War I - it
did very very little. But just enough to rescue France.
In World War II America did little fighting in Europe compared to
Russia. But also, enough to save France from the likely Soviet
occupation.

LOL. Always somebody else. France/Britain allowed Germany to rearm
and prevented Poland from invading in 1934, which would have ended
everything quite quickly. I've seen the desperate German
fortifications put up in Silesia against the coming Polish invasion
with my own eyes.

Neither did the French. And ask the Poles about 1939, when the French
violated their treaty obligation to Poland.
