My wife and I were discussing the option of possibly moving back to
Japan (someday....) and she said that an associate professor (most
likely the position she'd get) wouldn't make that much. So... anyone
have any idea how much a professor of biology (micro biology or cell
biology) would make? Positions she's applied for here in the US don't
pay diddly squat. She doesn't really want to be in a male dominated
environment; that's the main sticking point. That and the money. For
some reason she doesn't have faith in my ability to earn a good living
in Japan. I can't imagine why; I've done so well here in the US....
