Sorry for this addition - but supersedes don't seem to work properly.

Is the sentence afterwards a reference to Gen 3:19:

| By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the
| ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you
| will return."

Kaoru says: "Those born from Adam must return to Adam". Does anyone have
a Japanese translation of the Bible to check?
