Hi, I'm using SUSE 9.1 also. It's really working good for me now.

I havnt tried wireless network, but as I know, KDE developed a network tool
to simplify the wifi setting. Unfortunately, I forgot its name, it may be
wifimanager or something else. Hope that will help U a little.
