I've have never heard that NEWS-OS 4.x requires registration-key.

As far as I know, NEWS OS 6.x(SystemV based) requires resigtration
key. I think it works in single user mode without resigtration key.
Doesn't it?

NEWS OS4.xR( for R4x00 based RISC system) has 68k cross
compiler. It is an installation option.
