Digital Camera Selection
Ok I have narrowed my choices down to 3 cameras. I want something with lots
of optical zoom...good manual controls.....ability to attach extra lenses
and folters, and decent prices.
1. Olympus C-765 ($599 + tax)

Pros:
- 4 mp
- 10x optical zoom
- Olympus ED Lens
- Solid construction
- Takes XD cards(I have xd cards currently)
- I'm a fan of olympus
- 1/1000 to 15 second shutter speeds
- Good macro
- Lithium battery
Cons:
- Don't know anywhere in town that have this camera..so I will have
to
get it ordered in.
- No image stabilizer
- I don't think there is sound with movies
- I don't like how the camera looks
2.Canon Powershot S1 IS ($689.99 + tax)

Pros:
- 10x optical zoom
- Image Stabilizer
- Looks amazing, and feels even better
- Good Macro
- Movie mode w/sound, 640x480Fine, 640x480 or 320x240, 30fps
or 15fps
- Shutter speeds from 15 secs to 1/2000 secs
- Quick at processing pictures(can take rapid pics)
- Is able to take micro drives
Cons:
- 3.2 Mp
- Price
- Takes compact flash cards and I have XD cards already
- Takes 4 AAs
3. Fuji Finepix S-5000 (Approx 550-600 + tax)

- 10x Optical Zoom
- Looks great
- rapid pic ability
- solid construction
- good price
- can make audio notes
- audio videos
- 6.2 4th generation CCD HR
Cons:
- 3.1 MP
- 2 - 1/2000 sec Shutter Speeds
- AA Bateries
Ugh what to do what to do....thoughts?
