I'm late to this thread, but if you're looking for a "AA" cell charger this
might be what you want:

It's a 10 position 10 channel charger, that means it deals with the charge state
of each battery, most chargers operate on 2 batteries at a time, so you'd have
to have your batteries in at least pairs to get them to charge properly.
Also: this charger uses a standard 12VDC wall wart for all you need is a cigg
lighter adapter to use if in your car. It also have a proper discharge circuit
if you want to start your batteries from zero.
Also look at this seller's other auction for good prices on Ni-MH cells.
He also has an off-eBay store but the prices are a couple dollars more there.
