I've had a Leica Digilux Zoom for several years -- this camera uses a
Fuji engine, right? -- and like it a lot

There were two occasions in its first year, however, when the internal
sliding lens cover remained open, apparently stuck, when the camera was
turned off. First time it was repaired (replaced?) under warranty,
second time was at my expense.

Now it's happened again. Anyone have any suggestions, other than just
"take it back to the shop"? (Warm it? Shake it? Carefully remove the
front cover and see what's there?)

Is there an newer version of this camera?
