Imperialism would mean that the US is an Empire, which you and I know is
not.
I am sure we would both agree that while the US is large, has two states
separated from the
continental portion and does in fact control a few territories, it is does
not have a great
number of territories or different peoples under it's control. I am not
talking aboout the melting pot here.
For example, the British Empire spanned North America, Egypt, India to Hong
Kong.
The French from the North America, North Africa, Africa, Vietnam to Tahiti.
These are Empires. Additionally, the US has never had an Emperor as head of
state, such as Ancient Rome
or Pre-war Japan. What you want to say is that the US dominates the world.
And economically and militarily I happen to
agree with you that it does. But it does not maintain direct control of
other territories by appointing governers
of other territories. Furthmore, with your anti-american attitude using a
word such as "Imperialism" you are
mimicing the communists of PROC and Vietnam in the past and DPRK today.
While I agree that the US does dominate economically and militariy it does
not exactly "rule" the world.
Nor is the US "always" right.
