I assume you're referring to the First World War here. As I'd be quite
surprised if you were not aware not only did the Aussies, New
Zealanders, Canadians, Americans and Brits fight together in WWII but
as Brett Robson pointed out in this very thread (and I was not aware
of myself) there were even instances of Australians commanding US
troops.

As for creaming off the glory as far as I'm concerned the only "glory"
is that Hitler and the Imperial Japanese were defeated. That they
would not have been but for the US involvement is a fact you can
either deal with or not. It seems like you're opting for the latter.
So be it. I could give a shit about "glory". Every life lost was one
too many.
