I tried to install Windows XP Pro SP3 in a new partition on my Toshiba
Satellite L305-55894 (running Vista) and got the "blue screen of
death" when the Windows XP Installer was starting to launch Windows
(after the mouse cursor appeared but before any login screen or view
of the desktop).

Various procedures for adding XP to a Vista system discuss how one
might need to add XP drivers, but the all seem to assume XP got
installed and certain devices need new drivers. Since the mouse cursor
was drawn successfully, it doesn't seem to be the screen driver.

Any ideas?
