I thought this might interest you. This is a 3-6 month contract that may be
extended or perhaps turn into a perm job with a major client on the island
of Bermuda.
Contract would be at a competitive hourly/daily rate plus include housing,
flights, transportation and a daily allowance.
Contract would have to pass references, criminal and security checks. Must
be Canadian, American or British.

Senior Peoplesoft Admin and Support 
" Responsible for day-to-day support, administration, and
configuration of the PeopleSoft software/environment for both development
and production, in a two, three and four tier architecture.
" Daily support of the PeopleSoft Production/Testing environment and
meeting of SLA requirements;
" Log and escalate to PeopleSoft Global Support Center Technical
Software and Application Issues;
" Search PeopleSoft Web Site for Technical solutions and resolutions;
" Apply Technical Bundles, Updates & Fixes as required; 
" Perform PeopleSoft Tools and Application version upgrades;
" Create and promote PeopleSoft Projects via: Application Upgrades; 
" Administration of PeopleSoft Code Sets; 
" Ensure System / Object integrity through Compares and specific
Audits; 
" Refresh and build PeopleSoft test environments / instances as
required; 
" Work closely with DBA regarding PeopleSoft database specifics;
" Administer and recycle PeopleSoft servers regularly; 
" Install 2-tier Client configurations; 
" Perform Security Administration, including Query Access Groups;
" Work closely with Application team and assist with Tracing /
Debugging of Technical Application problems; 
" Work closely with other I.T. areas for System and Database
Performance tuning; 
" Participate and provide problem resolution for Unit, System and
Integration testing; 
" Administer site scope Monitoring software for - Server availability,
CPU, Memory, Disk space, etc.; 
" Assist / mentor other team members and users regarding PeopleSoft
product; 
" Provide Technical Solutions to meet Business Requirements;
" Meet with the team regularly to discuss issues, disseminate
information and generally direct the group to success; 
" Discuss and escalate to the manager where required to ensure
projects stay on track; 
" Prepare regular reports of achievements, outstanding activities,
issues, constraints, etc.; 
" Attend project meetings with members of other teams and represent
the interests of the PeopleSoft Systems Support team;
" Attend other Technical meetings as necessary and keep the Manager
informed of activities; 
" Mentor other members of the team to develop them into self-reliant,
self-motivated employees; participate in the development of the annual
objectives for the team consistent with the department's objectives; 
" Research and resolve system problems with assigned suite of software
products; 
" Respond to technical issues that impact functionality, performance
of availability of services; 
" Facilitate problem escalation and resolution; 
" Interact with other support staff in Software Services and other
support staff in other departments (e.g. DBA, Network, Helpdesk); 
" Recommend system design changes and upgrades based on efficiency of
current system and user needs; 
" Develop and maintain operational procedures to support all
day-to-day operations; 
" Must be able to do performance monitoring; 
" Must establish baselines and compare the performance of the system
against the base to ensure it is performing adequately.
" Leadership Participatory Roles (i.e. roles where this position does
not necessarily have the primary responsibility for completion of the task
but is a key player in setting the directions of the team) include: assess
current systems architecture; 
" Develop future technical architecture strategy; 
" Develop high level upgrade strategy; 
" Define change control approach; 
" Update test environments; 
" Identify support structure; 
" Design processing schedules; 
" Review production readiness and tune system performance. 
" Platform is Windows and interfaces to AS400, Peoplesoft
upgrade to current version and enhancements
