Like yesterday, all lines in the Tokyo area are open, but frequency is
reduced to 80% of normal on most lines.
---
Shinkansen lines north of Nasu-Shiobara are closed with the exception of
the Akita Shinkansen between Morioka and Akita.
JR East lines in the Sendai area are all closed.
Tohoku Line will open between Kouriyama and Fukushima today. Yamagata
Shinkansen and Ouu local line will open between Fukushima and Shinjo
tomorrow (April 11).
Joban Line will reach Iwaki tomorrow. Iwaki is the largest coast city
of Fukushima-ken. Beyond Iwaki it will stay closed for an unspecified
period due to the crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant.
Most of the Suigun Line will also reopen tomorrow. This is a quiet line
which provides access to Fukuroda Waterfall.
The Tohoku Expressway has not recovered yet from damage near Hiraizumi,
