I confronted a "professional" driver one time: a Hertz driver that
thought that the solid white line separating the lanes where two
separate roads were coming together meant "no one should cross except
the Hertz bus." He just drove straight across the damn line, and I
missed him by less than a foot after coming to a full emergency stop. I
followed him to his next passenger drop and read him the riot act. Of
course, he hadn't even noticed that he had nearly killed me, and
couldn't figure out what the fuss was about.
