After over thirty years of studying and using several different Asian
languages in military and civilian environments ... and actually living
here a bunch fewer years ... I *still* cannot understand the Japanese
fixation with quotation marks.

Or why they never take the time to find a sympathetic native-English
speaking Patagonian Vegan Momonga to fix their insipid translations.
