Highly unlikely. Japanese cards have their magnetic strip in another
part of the plastic from those of the rest of the world. The magnetic
signal strength is different on Japanese cards than the rest of the
world. Also, if there were a bank of the same name in the UK it would
not be a Japanese bank but a completely different banking corporation
with a Japanese bank's name on the front door. It would not be
obligated to honor your card.
