Even before DVD's Family Movies out grossed R rate movies but the 
reason is simple to understand.  Generally speaking it's the parents 
that pay for the tickets and they will not allow their kids to see R 
rate Movies.  R rate movies are aimed at older teens and college 
students that have some free cash to spend.

The producers of pornography like to claim that they make more money 
than all of Hollywood combined. Are we to dismiss this claim because 
we don't like getting our inboxes filled with their Spam?
