Thanks for the explanation and the comment on local economics.  Took 
another look during my five minutes of freedom and sort of see where you 
mean.

I've been invited to invest in hotels several times but could never 
picture myself running around and cleaning up other people's messes, 
worrying about food service hygiene, or even being polite and solicitous 
when others are being complete whining assholes (e.g. Americans or 
Brits).  You have my respect for trying.
