I eventually got it, after the replies.

Ikari: Usenet is proceeding according to the description in the Dead
        Sea Scroll.

JSDF Officer: We have thrown everything we have against that monster,
and it just keeps coming, beating its little drum.
               It's up to NERV now...

Gary: Sachiel to D4.
MAGI: Unit-01 to D3.

Maybe it'll go mark it's territory...

Here are the first few things Shinji says in the series.

Shinji: Out of order... I shouldn't have come...
Shinji: I may not be able to meet her. Can't be helped--I'll head to
        the shelter.
Shinji: Uh...
Shinji: Ahh...
Shinji: Ahhh!
Shinji: Ahh!
Shinji: Yeah, but there's something crunchy in my mouth.
Shinji: You, too, Katsuragi-san...
Shinji: Me, too.
Shinji: Misato-san...
Shinji: Excuse me, Misato-san...?
Shinji: You sure it was all right to do that?
Shinji: That doesn't seem like a very good excuse.
Shinji: You think so...?
Shinji: You're childish for your age, aren't you?

He starts off alright then he deteriorates when he meets Misato. He
certainly not a word-smith.

That we see. Maybe Misato get in regular accidents but we don't see
them.
